AB OBJECTIVE: The objective of the study was to find out the ways and means
of facing the deadly attack of AIDS, focusing on socio-anthropological
heritage and culture. METHODS: A non-extractive participatory method was
followed random sampling of the potential Households and individuals the
elements of the study were: People's behaviour, culture, ethical issues
gender relation, social bondage and the working pattern and mobility
nation. Condom users and city working place, working women and foreign
link as wage labour. RESULTS: The study conducted by BMS reveals the
intricate issues. One of the findings regarding the homosexuals
challenge the people's opinion about non-existence of homosexuals in our
country. The increasing number of the prostitution signals our
conscience and put forward the need of emergency action to stop invasion
of AIDS. CONCLUSION: Training and demonstration of social impact of HIV
should be made available to them. Culture has its own element to meet
the challenges.
